Serving as the basis for the accreditation program, The ICANL Standards are an extensive document defining the minimal requirements for nuclear cardiology, nuclear medicine and PET laboratories to provide high quality care. The Standards are used by laboratories as both a guideline and the foundation to create and achieve realistic quality care goals.
Whether applying for first-time accreditation or reaccreditation, the first step toward success is review of the Standards by every member of the laboratory staff involved in the application.
Every two years, the Standards are reviewed by the ICANL Board of Directors and revised as needed. Upon opening these documents online, you
will find that the edits made in conjunction with the release
of this new version appear as highlighted text. However, when
the documents are printed, the highlights will not appear in
your permanent copy. Please note that the following document
is The Standards for accreditation only; the Online Accreditation
Application and all other materials necessary to complete the
accreditation process must be ordered from the ICANL.
The
2007 ICANL Standards are viewable using Adobe Acrobat
