Due
to the recent announcement by UnitedHealth Group requiring all
freestanding facilities and physician offices performing nuclear
cardiology, nuclear medicine, and PET procedures to apply for
accreditation by March 1, 2008, the ICANL is expecting a large
volume of applications.
Laboratories
are encouraged to submit their applications early in order to
be in compliance. In an attempt to stagger the influx of applications,
and allow the Commission to offer the best, most efficient service
possible to laboratories, the following incentive is being offered
to all* first-time applicant laboratories who submit by the
upcoming October deadline:

Save promotion ends following the October 1, 2007 deadline.

Please
note that all application deadlines are firm. No extensions
will be granted. Applications must be received by the first
business day of the month, complete with all components. Applications
that arrive late or are incomplete will be processed with the
subsequent application deadline and are not eligible for the
discount.
*All first-time applicant laboratories that
apply by the October deadline will receive the discount, regardless
of the insurance plans with which they choose to participate.
**The application fee is $3300 for Nuclear
Cardiology Testing only, $3300 for Nuclear Medicine Testing
only, and $3300 for PET Testing only; or $3800 for Comprehensive
Nuclear Medicine Accreditation (Nuclear Medicine Testing and
Nuclear Cardiology Testing and/or PET Testing). Any laboratory
with more than one site may be eligible to apply for multiple
site accreditation, and will be charged $1000 for each site
(the base site is excluded from this fee). The complete fee
