MONICA
McCREA, RDMS, RVT NAMED ICAVL TECHNICAL MANAGER
In
November 2006, Monica McCrea, RDMS, RVT was welcomed
as the new Technical Manager of ICAVL. Ms. McCrea brings
both extensive clinical and commercial experience to the
ICAVL. She holds her ARDMS registries in Abdomen, OB/Gyn,
and Vascular Technology. She has also participated in
echocardiography training and holds the physics portion
of the Adult Echocardiography registry. Ms. McCrea completed
her ultrasound and undergraduate training at the University
of Maryland Baltimore County (MIUT). In 1995, she began
her career at Union Memorial, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Later she branched out to a career in commercial ultrasound
where she has worked for the last seven years in multiple
capacities and modalities, ranging from applications to

CINDY
WEILAND, RVT, RRT, BECOMES THE NEW IAC DIRECTOR OF ACCREDITATION
The
Intersocietal Accreditation Commission is proud to announce
that Cindy Weiland, RVT, RRT has been promoted
as the new Director of Accreditation for the IAC. In this
new capacity, Ms. Weiland will provide quality assurance
procedures for the accreditation processes of all organizations
within the IAC. Working closely with the Technical Managers,
Ms. Weiland will develop the necessary processes to ensure
that quality and efficiency remain consistent throughout
the accreditation process as the companies continue to
grow. "Cindy has been an asset to the ICAVL for the
past five years and understands the need to streamline
the accreditation programs while maintaining the quality
and consistency of the peer review process," says
Sandra Katanick, CEO. "She will assure that all IAC
programs consistently evaluate the quality of imaging
and that the results of the reviews are communicated in
a timely fashion to all participating facilities."
