Each of these experiences has prepared her for her new role as Technical Manager with the ICAVL.

When reflecting on her past experiences, Ms. Burns stated, "Our lab [Summa Health System] was one of the first to become accredited by the ICAVL in 1992. We continued to seek accreditation and achieve this status every three years. It is a pleasure to make the transition from the clinical setting to now work for the ICAVL. In this role, I hope to have the opportunity to assist numerous laboratories in their journey toward quality and accreditation."
